Sapele is an exotic African hardwood that, in its usual form, is rather straight grained and refined.  We offer normal Sapele as one of our Premium Series veneers. 

Very, very rarely a Sapele tree is felled that has the much sought after Pomele figuring. Pomele figuring is analogous to Fiddleback figuring, but is much, much wilder and occurs much less frequently.  That single log can bring quite a price since no one really knows when another may come along.

We built this pair of Blue Herons for one of our best friends, and have reserved a small supply of Pomele Sapele - enough to build a few more pair.

This stuff really is "The Cat's Pajamas"!!!  If you desire an absolutely exquisite veneer dressing one of the world's finest speakers....the time is now. 

These photos cannot depict the depth of color and iridescence of this magnificent tree!

This veneer seems downright holographic as it 'winks' and shimmers as one moves past.  The term used inside the veneer industry for this highly desirable quality is 'Fire'.

Like our other veneer offerings,  Sapele is not an endangered species.
