The fabulous, new Blue Heron2 has just begun to ship, so we thought we'd give you a taste of the wonderful cosmetic options that are being chosen by discriminating customers and dealers. One of the beautiful aspects of this fresh design is that it really invites artistic creativity in fine, custom hand woodworking. |

An adventuresome customer in the Atlanta area took a leap of faith with this drop dead gorgeous combination of African Lacewood side and rear panels combined with baffles of Pennsylvania Cherry and Honduran Mahogany. Notice the subtlety of the offset stringers. This owner of this one of a kind pair elected to skip the grilles and thus the horizontal channels required in favor of an even more smooth and graceful look. Stradivarius, eat your heart out! |

This pair, done in the stunning and totally unexpected combination of Curly Maple and Aromatic Cedar, sent chills down our spines....even before we played 'em! Both woods are native to the well wooded area here in Northern New York but we expect they'll put smiles on faces once they arrive at their new home, and recent addition to the Meadowlark family, Studio Sound in Denmark.

You don't see Ropey Cherry every day, and there's little wonder; the stuff is extremely rare. For this pair we chose a wide, centered stringer of Curly Maple. As you'd expect from Cherry, this pair will darken and richen with age to show off some genuine heirloom quality style. A pair just like this is headed for Comet Audio in Benevento, Italy. |

Hmmmm........at first we figured that making a pair of Blue Heron2s in Ebony would not exactly excite us. Wrong! We should have known that basic black would show off the BH2's visually satisfying architecture. We call it "brutal elegance". These pics don't really do them justice, but these black beauties certainly look like they mean business! . In the coming week we'll show you pairs in Pennsylvania Cherry and a couple of rich and surprising combinations involving Heritage Walnut with other, coordinating woods. The process of creating a pair of these unique works of art does take our craftsmen several weeks. So if you are ready for the speaker of a lifetime just get in touch with your Meadowlark dealer.
