Runners Up

(in the order they were received)

I now know exactly why "good timing is good and bad timing is bad"...(REALLY BAD!)

I hope you are not offended by my twisted sense of humor (and reality.)

I am currently engaged to a wonderful woman who has children from her previous marriage.

Part of my higher education in becomming a step father is going through the potty trainig thing.

In this rigerous task, I have learned that little people do not beleive in advanced notification of having to go to the potty. When they say they have to go, they mean that the package is enroute RIGHT NOW.

Having a successful session from the instant that a high priority notification is broadcast is quite a challenge and tallent on behalf of the "grown-ups."

It is getting better and overall we are doing well with the challenge at hand.

However from the time we hear "I got to go to the potty," TIMING IS EVERYTHING.

In most cases now, based on my professional experience in this field I can assure you that good timing is good. However, (every now and then)...bad timing is bad, REALLY BAD!

Paragraph I can't define perfect timing -- I just know it when I hear it. And, oh man, I need to hear and have that perfect timing.

With apologies to Potter Stewart.

(Hey, I teach political science. Lay off)

Where musical sound is to be found the timings always perfect.

"A book ['My Fine Feathered Friend', by William Grimes] of great charm that makes the hidden lives of chickens so interesting that it may inspire readers to adopt a bird of their own." - Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, author of "The Hidden Life of Dogs". Yes, it's true, this book came out just at the right moment to convince me to adopt one of my very own - a Petrel. And then, likewise in the nick of time, Rosie O'Donnell came out, telling Diane Sawyer that it should be perfectly okey-dokey for me to adopt. After all, I can provide a stable foundation, jitter-free environment, advantageous interconnections, (appropriately) warm, nurturing ancillaries and diverse, cultivating software. To those concerned that this may result in a queer sort of bird, I respond, "Fowl!"

Good timing-Hi Fi Nirvana (romantic evening listening with wife)

Bad timing-Sleep on the couch (ignore wife to tweak/upgrade/overspend on system)
